Guidelines For Comparing SYBR Green Master Mixes

Explore a protocol for comparing the performance of Applied Biosystems PowerTrack SYBR Green Master Mix with other master mixes in PCR applications. The comparison is based on parameters such as specificity, PCR efficiency, dynamic range, and precision across multiple targets. The protocol involves preparing reactions, running the real-time PCR, running the melt curve, repeating the process for the other master mix, and analyzing the data. The analysis outlined here includes parameters such as slope and amplification efficiency, R2 values, standard deviation, and melt curve. Here we show some study results, using this protocol, which found that the PowerTrack SYBR Green Master Mix outperformed other mixes.
